Nine Pillars of Electric Dog Containment Fence Training

With our professional electric dog containment fence training, we prepare a dog for the 'real world' distractions they'll face when they are let off-leash in a yard (such as another dog, food or toys, family members/neighbors walking by or even coming into or leaving the yard). We use IDT - Incremental Distraction Training — to train and contain your dog within the electric dog containment fence.

IDT gradually exposes your dog to more and more real life distractions to ensure that your dog will always stay within the underground containment fence. Your dog will learn that the area beyond the flags is a total NO-GO zone.

Once electric collar training is complete, your dog will have passed the K-9 Nine Pillars of Training.

The K-9 Nine Pillars of Training test your dog's ability to stay contained within the electric dog fence even when:

1. Presented with an opportunity to breach boundary.

2. Presented with a dog outside the boundary flags.

3. Presented with a dog that enters and leaves your yard.

4. Presented with a food temptation.

5. Presented with pedestrian walking by your yard.

6. Presented with a favorite toy outside the boundary.

7. A family member leaves the yard on foot.

8. A family member drives out of the yard.

9. A family member leaves the yard to greet the dog.

"Peace of Mind is what I think Steve Schwartz has given us with his integrity, knowledge, and service. We recently lost a 14 year old Sheltie to a combination of a busy street mixed with an older dog that liked to wander. Our dear Smokey was hit by a car in front of our house one evening while we were out of town. We called Steve right away after adding Winston to our family. With the electric dog collar, we do NOT worry, what-so-ever now when little Winston wants to go outside. We have COMPLETE peace of mind that he will not stray nor wander far. Knowing that our puppy is safe and secure allows us to NOT worry about any mishaps."
